I found an old hard drive that had a short EP I recorded with two shitty, untuned guitars, a set of bells, and a cheap, garbage computer microphone. I don't know how to play guitar, so I just played some notes here and there and layered and messed with them. It was all pretty terrible. It was some post-rock, lo-fi, pretentious attempt at music, but it was music all the same. I called it "From the Sea".
And from the sea of shit on my hard drives, I found them and decided I would just make some pure ambient tracks out of them. These originals were an echo in my head and when I re-listened to them, the time and place were like echos too, of over ten years ago. They're a memory to me, and like other memories, they float on my consciousness, drifting, changing, becoming what they are now.
Or, you know, I just fucked around for an afternoon.
